6 new 7-seater SUVs to launch in India in 2026 – A massive line-up of family cars from MG to Kia and VW

On 12 February, JSW MG Motor India is going to launch its popular SUV Gloster facelift called MG Major. This SUV will come with a more aggressive design than before, making its road presence even stronger.
New Majestor is expected to feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which will give the cabin a futuristic touch. Volkswagen Tayron
Volkswagen is going to introduce its new 7-seater SUV Tayron in India on 28 January. It is expected to be launched by mid-February. This SUV can be called Skoda Kodiaq’s corporate cousin.
The Tayron will feature 19-inch alloy wheels, front massage seats and a larger 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will be given a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine for power, which is also used in Kodiaq. This SUV is for those who want both German quality and family practice.
New Mahindra Scorpio-N
Mahindra’s Scorpio-N has already lost its streets on Indian roads. Now its facelift version can be launched by April in 2026.
This update will see new bumpers, changed alloy wheels and lightweight design tweaks. The major change in the cabin will be the 10.25-inch new HD touchscreen infotainment system. However, the engine and gearbox options are expected to remain the same, thereby retaining its reliable performance.
Skoda Kodiaq RS
Between April and June, Skoda Auto India will launch its first high-performance SUV Kodiaq RS. It is the second generation model and only 7-seater version is expected in India.
This SUV catches speeds of 0 to 100 km / h in just 6.4 seconds and its top speed is limited to 231 km / h. Skoda can bring it to India as a CBU unit, making it an exclusive and performance-focused family SUV.
Renault New 7-Seater SUV
Renault is set to launch its new 7-seater SUV in the last quarter of the year. This SUV will be based on the upcoming new generation Duster and can be around 4.6 meters long.
This model will give direct competition to Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO. Renault can offer this SUV with family-friendly design and strong road presence.
Kia MQ4i
Kia India’s MQ4i will actually be the Indian version of the fourth generation Kia Sorento. This SUV will be larger than the existing XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, VW Tayron and Skoda Kodiaq.
ICE and hybrid powertrain options are expected in this SUV of about 4.8 meters long. Kia will make it with heavy localization in India to keep the price competitive.
