2026 Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 – If there’s one brand that consistently generates excitement in the middleweight bike segment, it’s Triumph. For 2026, Triumph has given its 660cc platform bikes a major update, introducing the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 in new avatars. This isn’t just a minor facelift, but a substantial upgrade, from engine to technology. This is why these two models have generated a lot of buzz among bike enthusiasts.
Engine
The biggest changes to the 2026 Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 are seen in their 660cc online three-cylinder engine. This engine generates power of 93.7 bhp at 11,250 rpm and torque of 68 Nm at 8,250 rpm. These figures make them stand equal to Daytona 660. Getting around 13.8 bhp more power than before shows that Triumph has taken performance seriously.
The special thing is that even though the power comes at high rpm, the company claims that about 80 percent of the torque becomes available only from 3,000 rpm. That is, city riding or highway cruising, the bike will feel smooth and responsive in every situation.
Mechanical Changes
Triumph has also worked fiercely on the interiors of the engine this time. Now three different 44mm throttle bodies are replaced by single throttle bodies. It is accompanied by a large front-mounted airbox, new cylinder heads with large exhaust valves and high-lift cam profiles. Redline has also been increased to 12,650 rpm, about 20 percent more.
Better cooling was necessary for so much performance, so the radiator and fan are fitted in larger and better positions. This change will help keep the engine cool during long rides and hard riding.
2026 Triumph Trident 660
2026 Trident 660 now looks sharper and muscular than before. New and wide fuel tanks, deep nee cut-outs and updated seats make it more comfortable. The headlight design has also been changed, making the roadster stance look stronger.
Talking of suspension, it gets Showa’s 41mm USD front forks and the new Showa rear shock, with preload and rebound adjustment. The braking setup is the same as before, with a twin front disc of 310mm and Nissin calipers. Michelin Road 5 tires are still standard. A 195 kg weight and an 810mm seat height make it friendly for everyday riding.

2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660
Tiger Sport 660 gets the same strong engine update, but its focus is on more touring. It has a large fuel tank of 18.6 liters, which makes it easy to travel long distances. New bodywork and radiator cowls provide better wind protection, while adjustable windscreens now come with greater range.
Suspension travel is only 150mm, but the rear monoshock offers remote preload adjustment, which makes riding easier with the Pilion or Luggage. Despite the touring hardware, Triumph claims that its weight is only 211 kg.
India Launch & Colors
Both bikes will be offered in new color options for 2026. Their launch in India is expected by the end of this year. This news is nothing short of a celebration for Triumph fans in India.
