Tulsi Puja Niyam: In Hinduism, it is believed that having a Tulsi plant in the home bestows the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi upon the family. Rules for Tulsi Worship
However, if a woman is menstruating, she is considered impure. Therefore, she should not worship Tulsi during this time. According to beliefs, doing so also defiles Tulsi Mata.
