UPSC ESE Mains Admit Card 2026: An update has come out from the UPSC for the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination of the Engineering Service. Candidates appearing for the Engineering Service Main Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) were eagerly waiting for the admit cards. Now, candidates appearing for the main examination can obtain their admit card by visiting the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. Candidates must use login credentials to download the admit card.
How to Download the UPSC ESE Mains Admit Card 2026?
Visit the official website of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in to download the admit card.
Click on the What’s New section on the homepage of the website.
Now click the “Admit Card: Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2026” link.
Enter the login details
After entering the login details, the admit card will open on the screen.
Finally, take a printout of it.
When will the exam be
The Engineering Service Main Exam will be held on June 21, 2026. The examination will be conducted in two shifts. There will be a total of 2 papers in the main examination. Both papers will be held for 300 marks each. The duration of each paper is set for 3 hours. Candidates who have cleared this exam will be invited for an interview of 200 marks. There is very little time left before the exam starts. In such a situation, all candidates are advised not to read anything new. To prepare for the exam, solve a mock test daily and focus on revision as much as possible.
Reporting Time
Candidates must arrive at least one and a half hours before the start of the examination. Entry for the first shift will close at 8:30 p.m. Entry for the second shift will be closed until 2 pm. No one will be allowed to enter the examination centre under any circumstances after the gate is closed. In addition, do not forget to carry your admit card with you or you will not be allowed to enter.
What to take to the exam centre and what not?
Several rules have been made regarding the UPSC ESE Mains examination:-
Allowed items: Candidates must carry an admit card printout, a pen, a pencil, and an identity card. Other than that, you can only take one of your photos with you.
Prohibited Items – It is strictly forbidden to carry books, including mobile phones, smart or digital watches, into the examination premises.
