NEET UG Re-Exam Date 2026: The NEET UG examination was cancelled due to a paper leak scandal. Approximately 2.3 million (23 lakh) students had appeared for the exam. When Will the Exam Be Held?
According to the official notification issued by the NTA, the NEET UG examination will be conducted nationwide on June 21. Is Re-registration Required?
According to the NTA, students intending to appear for the NEET UG re-exam are not required to register again. Furthermore, students will not be required to pay any additional fees.
What was the matter?
A major scandal involving the leak of “guess papers” surfaced prior to the NEET UG examination. Specifically, just a few days before the scheduled exam, these guess papers were circulated to students via WhatsApp by various coaching centres, including some in Sikar, Rajasthan. Subsequently, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan conducted an investigation and discovered that a majority of the questions asked in the NEET examination matched the contents of these leaked guess papers verbatim.

First, visit the official NTA NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in.
Once the webpage opens, click on the ‘NEET UG Admit Card 2026 Link’.
Enter your application number and password details.
Enter the CAPTCHA code displayed on the screen, then click ‘Submit’.
Your NEET Admit Card will then appear on your screen. Download it and take a printout.
The Exam Was Held on May 3
The NEET examination was conducted on Sunday, May 3, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exam was held in offline mode, using pen and paper. Entry into the examination hall began at 11:00 AM and continued until 1:30 PM.
