Monsoon Alert – Heavy Rainfall Expected in 12 States Over the Next 2 Days

Monsoon Forecast: The time for winter to depart from many parts of the country, including North India, is near. The heat is gradually increasing, making sitting in the sun feel unbearable. Dense fog enveloped some areas of the country in the early morning, reducing visibility to a crawl.

Late-night rain in many areas of South India has caused temperatures to drop. The next few days are not going to be easy in terms of the weather. A new western disturbance is also expected to develop in North India soon.

Rain Warning in These States

According to the IMD, the weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in 12 states, including North India. A rain alert has been issued for these states. The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Telangana. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is also possible in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Rainfall is also possible in the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Telangana on February 24th.

Caution has been urged for people due to the possibility of lightning. Scattered light rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from February 26th to 28th.

What will the weather be like here?

According to the IMD, a dense fog warning has been issued in various parts of Punjab. Rain alerts have been issued for various regions of the country. It has also issued an alert for a 2 to 3 degree Celsius increase in maximum temperatures in northwest India in the next few days.

Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds with speeds of up to 30–40 kmph are expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands between February 24 and 25. Rain alerts have also been issued for Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, and Jharkhand.

Delhi NCR Weather

The IMD has predicted clear skies in most parts of Delhi NCR on February 24. Light fog may be observed in the morning. The maximum temperature in the capital Delhi is expected to be between 29°C and 31°C, and the minimum temperature between 12°C and 14°C. The minimum temperature is expected to be 1.6°C to 3.0°C above normal.
