CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting the English paper for Class 10 on February 21st. The first shift of the exam will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. According to the official notification, all students appearing for the exam are advised to arrive at the exam centre on time. Students arriving late will not be allowed to take the exam. The exam will begin at 10:30 a.m. The entrance to the exam centre will close at 10:00 a.m.
Important Guidelines for Students
– The CBSE Class 10 exam is scheduled to begin shortly. Therefore, all students appearing for the exam are advised to try to reach the exam centre before the scheduled time. The exam centre gate will close at 10:00 a.m.
– It is mandatory for students to carry their admit card to appear for the exam. Students will not be allowed to enter without an admit card.
– Upon receiving the question paper, carefully read the instructions given in the question paper.
– Read the question carefully before answering any question in the exam.
Is carrying a calculator prohibited?
Students are prohibited from carrying any type of calculator. This rule applies to all subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and accountancy. Scientific calculators are also not permitted.
Stationery Allowed
Students may bring a transparent scale, compass, divider, protractor, pencil, eraser, and sharpener into the examination centre.
Dress Code for CBSE Class 10 Exam 2026
Students must wear examination clothes that are both simple and appropriate.
For Boys
• The recommended dress for students is the school uniform.
• Students must wear a plain shirt or T-shirt that does not display any writing or design.
• Students should wear full-length trousers.
• Students should wear simple footwear.
• Students must not wear chains, bracelets, or fancy accessories.
For Girls
• Students must wear either the school uniform or a simple dress.
• Students should choose either a salwar kameez or a simple kurta with leggings.
• Students should wear comfortable footwear.
• Students must not wear heavy jewellery.
• Students should keep their accessories to a minimum.
English Paper Pattern
The CBSE Class 10 English paper will carry 80 questions. Solving all the questions is mandatory. 50% of the questions will be multiple-choice and paragraph-based.
