Vespa Officina 8 – Some scooters are not just for travel, they bring a story. Vespa Officina 8 is also one of the same. This is not just a new model, but a special edition saluting the old legacy of Vespa. It has been launched in India at a price of ₹1.34 lakhs, and directly targets the premium segment.
Officina 8 is actually associated with Piaggio’s historic workshop, where early prototypes of Vespa were produced at Pontedera. That is, this scooter is in a way a confluence of history and modern design.
Design
The biggest identity of Vespa Officina 8 is its exclusive Matte Metallic Blue color. This shed is inspired by the machines, tools and uniforms used in the old Officina 8 workshop.
Metallic rivets, brass and aluminum accents on the scooter give it an industrial but premium touch. The design is not much dazzling, but classy and refined.

Its signature Vespa front profile remains intact when viewed from the front, but the color and detailing make it stand out from the crowd. It seems as if an old art piece is decorated in a modern frame.
Engine and Performance
Vespa Officina 8 has 125cc and 150cc engine options available. There has been no change in the mechanical setup, as the focus here is on design and heritage more than performance.
The 125cc variant gives a smooth and efficient ride to the city, while the 150cc version gives a slightly more powerful feel. A top speed of 86 kmph and a power output of about 9.3 bhp @ 7100 rpm make it balanced for everyday use.
Ownership Experience
The company was not limited to just scooters to make the Vespa Officina 8 special. It is being given a matching helmet, designed in the same theme.

An exclusive welcome kit is also available, including the owner book. This book tells the story of the early innovation journey of Officina 8 and Vespa. In addition, Vespa has also launched themed merchandise and accessories to make the Ownership Experience more special.
Price
If it comes to price, its price of ₹1.34 lakhs puts it in the premium scooter category. Its on-road price in Delhi starts at around ₹1,53,387. This scooter is for those who value style and brand value, not just transport. The price is a bit high, but the money is being given here for design, history and exclusivity.
