Yuvasathi Camp 2026 Begins: Duration, Required Documents, and Everything You Need to Know

The Yuva Sathi scheme was announced in the interim budget by the state’s Independent Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya. Accordingly, the form filling of the Yuva Sathi scheme has started in full swing across the state from today. The application submission process will continue till February 26. The state government has promised to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 to unemployed youths who have passed secondary school under this scheme.

Registration starts today

The application for the Yuva Sathi scheme has started from today. Camps are being held in all 294 assembly constituencies of the state. Registration can be done there. Names can be registered for this scheme wherever the Yuva Sathi scheme camp is being held. This camp will continue till Thursday, February 26.

From when will the camp run?

The state government is starting camps across the state to register names for four social schemes from Sunday. This programme has been named Swanirbhar Bangla. Registration is being done from these camps for four schemes like Yuvasathi, financial assistance to farm labourers, and Laxmi Bhandar. One Swanirbhar Bangla camp is being organized in each assembly constituency. Registration can be done in these camps for Yuvasathi, financial assistance to farm labourers, and Laxmi Bhandar. Along with this, fee waiver for availing the benefits of government tubewells or irrigation schemes for agricultural work can also be applied for from these camps. These camps will continue till February 26. The camps will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.

Money will be available from April

The state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1,500 per month to unemployed youth under the Yuvasathi scheme from next April. This scheme has been announced in this year’s interim budget. The monthly allowance for the Laxmi Bhandar scheme has also been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. Under the financial assistance to farm labourers, landless agricultural workers will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,000 twice a year.

What are the qualifications required to apply? Here are the details-

The age of the applicant should be between 21 and 40 years. The applicant should have passed the Madhyamik or equivalent examination. Only unemployed candidates will get financial assistance in this scheme. Unemployed candidates will get this financial assistance for a maximum of 5 years. Beneficiaries of Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship or Rupashree, Shiksharee Scheme will also get financial assistance in this scheme. Those working in the government or private sector are not covered by this scheme. Apart from this, beneficiaries of any other social security scheme of the state government will not get the benefits of this scheme. That is, those who are getting Lakshmi Bhandar, Krishak Bhata will not get the benefits of this scheme.

How to apply?

Camps have been organized in every assembly of the state till February 26. Like the ‘Duare Sarkar’ camp, the state government has also organized camps to receive applications for the Bengal Yuva Saathi scheme. Application forms for this scheme are available there. No portal has been launched yet to apply online for this scheme. However, from February 15, only the application form for this project will be available on the website www.wbsportsandyouth.gov.in. Many fake websites or portals have already been created in the name of Yuvasathi project. The administration has appealed to refrain from those portals.

What documents are required for application?

The documents that need to be prepared to apply for this project are—
1) Aadhaar card
2) Admit card of Madhyamki or equivalent examination
3) Educational qualification certificate
4) Bank account details
5) Passport size photograph (recent photograph)
6) Your mobile number (for OTP and status related work)

Note that the money for this project will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. After collecting the application form from the assembly-based camps, the application will have to be submitted with the appropriate documents. After the application is accepted, an SMS will be sent to the beneficiary’s mobile number to confirm this. The beneficiaries will get the benefits of this project for a maximum of five years until they join any workplace.
