Holi Special Train: Great news for rail passengers ahead of Holi! The Railways is gearing up with special arrangements to manage the increased passenger flow during the Holi festival. This year, Indian Railways plans to operate a significant number of special trains for Holi, ensuring that travelers can secure confirmed tickets without any hassle. The Railways has announced that due to the surge in passengers during Holi, a total of 1410 special train trips will be available from March 1 to March 22.
Out of these, 285 trips will be managed by East Central Railway. Saraswati Chandra, the CPRO of East Central Railway, mentioned that this initiative aims to ease passenger travel and enhance transportation options. Trains tend to be packed during Holi, and these extra special trains will greatly benefit travelers.
1410 Holi special trains will run from March 1 to March 22
The Railways has published a list of key Holi special trains along with their schedules. Many of these trains will link Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and the northeastern states. The first train, numbered 09821/09822, will operate between Sogaria (Kota) and Danapur. It will leave Sogaria at 11:10 PM on February 28 and March 7, arriving in Danapur the following day. For its return, it will depart from Danapur on March 2 and March 9.
The second train, numbered 01667/01668, will run between Ranikamlapati and Danapur. This train is set to leave on February 27 and March 2, returning on February 28 and March 3. The third train, numbered 01665/01666, will connect Ranikamlapati and Agartala, operating every Thursday starting March 5 and returning every Sunday from March 8.
Railways releases list of some trains with timetable
The fourth train, train number 09525/09526, will run between Hapa and Naharlagun. This train will run every Wednesday from March 4th and every Saturday from March 7th. The railway has urged passengers to obtain accurate train information before traveling. Passengers can get updates by calling the railway helpline number 139 or through the National Train Inquiry System web portal and mobile app. Railway officials say that the operation of Holi special trains will facilitate travel during the festival and increase the chances of ticket confirmation.
