Who is Asifa Mengal? Pakistan’s Female Suicide Bomber

New Delhi: The situation remains tense in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, where insurgents are standing firm against the military. The conflict between the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Pakistani army continues. The BLA has launched the second phase of Operation Heroff in several parts of Balochistan.

In the past 40 hours, the BLA claims to have killed more than 200 personnel from the Pakistani army, police, and Frontier Corps in military operations. They also claim to have captured 17.

Amidst this, everyone wants to know who Hawa Baloch and Asifa Mengal are, whose attacks have put the Pakistani army on the back foot. The BLA has also shared a photo of Asifa, the third female suicide bomber of the Majeed Brigade.

Did you know that the Baloch Liberation Army has also shared a picture of Asifa Mengal, the third female suicide bomber of the Majeed Brigade? Asifa, a resident of Killi Qazi Abad in Nushki, targeted the ISI headquarters in Nushki on January 31, 2026, using a vehicle laden with explosives.

She joined the Baloch Liberation Army on October 2, 2023, and decided to become a suicide bomber in January 2024. The organisation has also released a video of Hawa Baloch, alias Drosham, a female suicide bomber deployed on the Gwadar front under Operation Heroff. This video is circulating across several strategic locations in Balochistan, showing female suicide bombers actively participating in the operations.

Asifa Mengal also targeted the IS.I.

Asifa Mengal is not an insignificant name; the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has also fallen victim to her schemes. The 23-year-old Asifa Mengal carried out a deadly attack on the headquarters of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI in Nushki. According to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) statement, Asifa carried out the operation using a vehicle laden with explosives. Born in 2002, Asifa was one of the select female attackers in thorganisation’s’s Majeed Brigade, specifically trained to target high-security military installations.

Hawa Baloch’s Last Message

Meanwhile, a video released from the Gwadar front shows the female suicide bomber, Hawa Baloch, on the battlefield. Hawa, also known as ‘Drosham’, recorded this message just 12 hours before her death.

According to the BLA’s claims, Hawa, along with other suicide fighters, inflicted heavy casualties on security forces in Gwadar. Through the video, the organisation attempted to demonstrate that Baloch women are now fighting on the front lines.
