LIC Policy Revival Campaign 2026: If your Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) policy has lapsed due to non-payment of premiums, there’s some great news for you. Often, due to circumstances like job loss, reduced income, or sudden illness, people are unable to pay premiums on time, robbing them of years of security.
Addressing this problem, LIC has launched a special policy revival campaign starting January 1, 2026. Under this campaign, you can not only revive your long-standing lapsed policy, but you’ll also be offered a significant discount on late fees. This opportunity is a boon for millions of policyholders who want to reclaim their life cover at a lower cost.
What is LIC’s Special Policy Revival Campaign 2026
This new LIC campaign is a major financial relief for customers whose ‘Individual Non-Linked’ policies were lapsed due to non-payment of premiums. Typically, when a policy lapses, reactivating it requires paying hefty penalties and interest, which scares many people into letting it lapse.

However, under this special campaign, LIC has significantly reduced this burden. Most impressively, micro insurance policyholders are being offered a 100% waiver on late fees, meaning they won’t have to pay any additional fees to restore their risk coverage.
How Long Is This Amazing Offer Valid
Keep in mind that this special offer from LIC is valid for a limited time only. If you want to reactivate your old policy, you must pay special attention to the following deadlines. This campaign began on January 1, 2026, and its deadline is March 2, 2026. This means you have only two months to restore your family’s protection. Within this timeframe, you can activate your lapsed policy at discounted rates.

This time, LIC has developed a very transparent discount slab based on the premium amount, so that every category of customer can benefit from it. A significant discount of up to 30% is being offered on non-linked policies. If your total premium payable is up to ₹1 lakh, you will receive a maximum discount of ₹3,000.
However, if the premium is between ₹1 lakh and ₹3 lakh, this discount increases to ₹4,000. If the premium amount exceeds ₹3 lakh, you can save up to ₹5,000. As mentioned earlier, this is completely free for micro insurance policyholders.

Important Terms of the Revival Campaign
While this campaign is very attractive and beneficial, LIC has also set some specific terms and conditions that must be followed to avail of it:
- Your policy can only be revived if it has lapsed within 5 years from the date of the first due premium. If the policy has been inactive for longer than this period, it will not be covered under this scheme.
- The policy must have a remaining maturity period. If the policy’s full term has expired, it cannot be revived.
- The biggest advantage of this special campaign is that, in most cases, the revival process will not require any new medical tests or complex health declarations, making it much faster and easier.
