Kitchen Budget Hit Hard – LPG Cylinder Prices Increased by ₹50 – Common Man Troubled

LPG Price Hike: As February begins, common people and businesses have been hit by inflation. Just before the budget, oil marketing companies have increased the prices of LPG cylinders. These new prices have been implemented across the country since February 1, 2026. The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been increased across the country, including in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.

It is worth noting that on the budget day, the price of a commercial gas cylinder increased by about ₹50. However, the good news is that there has been no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinders.

How much did cylinder prices increase on Budget Day?

According to reports, several financial changes are implemented on the first day of every month, and the beginning of February also saw one such major change. On Budget Day, oil companies increased the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders. According to the new prices, the price in Delhi has increased from ₹1691.50 to ₹1740.50. In Kolkata, the cylinder now costs ₹1844.50, which was earlier ₹1795. In Mumbai, the price has increased from ₹1642.50 to ₹1692, while in Chennai it has increased from ₹1849.50 to ₹1899.50.

Rates increased for the second consecutive month

It is worth noting that this is the second consecutive month that the prices of commercial LPG cylinders have increased. Earlier, at the beginning of January, oil companies had also increased the prices by up to ₹111. In January, the 19 kg cylinder in Delhi had increased from ₹1580.50 to ₹1691.50. In Kolkata, the price was increased from Rs 1684 to Rs 1795, in Mumbai from Rs 1531.50 to Rs 1642.50, and in Chennai from Rs 1739.50 to Rs 1849.50.

Domestic gas cylinder prices remain stable

While the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have been fluctuating continuously for the past few months, the prices of domestic gas cylinders have remained stable for a long time. There has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders since April 8, 2025. As of February 1st, the price of a 14 kg domestic cylinder remains Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852 in Mumbai, and Rs 868 in Chennai.
