Donald Trump Threatens to Impose 50% Tariff on Canada, Here’s Why

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump is currently the subject of much discussion. His tariff policies are causing even some of his closest allies to distance themselves from him. US President Donald Trump has issued another major threat to Canada. During this time, Trump accused Canada of improperly blocking the certification of American company Gulfstream Jets.

He even threatened Canada with either reversing its decision or facing US tariffs. He said that if Canada does not approve the aircraft from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., a 50 per cent tariff will be imposed on Canadian jets sold in the United States.

This threat from Trump could further escalate tensions between Canada and the US. The two countries are already at odds over several issues. There has been considerable friction between the two countries for some time now.
