Royal Challengers Bangalore are on a winning streak in the 2026 Women’s Premier League. The 11th match of the season was played between RCB and Delhi Capitals. In this match played at the DY Patil Stadium, Smriti Mandhana led her friend Jemimah Rodrigues to an 8-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals.

Smriti Mandhana guided RCB for another win

Smriti Mandhana delivered a commanding performance, but fell four runs short of a century. With this, RCB secured their fourth win of the season. Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a rocky start. Delhi Capitals lost their first four wickets for just 10 runs. However, Shafali Verma played a brilliant innings, scoring 62 runs off 41 balls, including five fours and four sixes. Lucy Hamilton also scored 36 runs off 19 balls, helping Delhi post 166 runs in 20 overs.

Lauren Bell once again shone for RCB, taking three wickets. Sayali Satghare also took three wickets, preventing Delhi from posting a big total. Prema Rawat also took two wickets, while Nadine de Klerk also took one wicket.

Chasing the target, RCB suffered an early setback, but captain Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings. Smriti scored 96 runs off 61 balls, including 13 fours and 3 sixes. Her explosive innings completely turned the match in RCB’s favor. Smriti shared a formidable 142-run partnership with Georgia Wall, who scored an unbeaten 54. RCB achieved the target in 18.2 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.

But Smriti Mandhana fell four runs short of a century. It’s worth noting that no batsman has ever scored a century in the history of the Women’s Premier League. Despite coming close, Mandhana couldn’t end the wait. Many players have previously fallen victim to nervous nineties in the Women’s Premier League.
