BMC Election Results 2026 Update: The people of Mumbai have made it clear who will be the king of the BMC this time. Mumbaikars have placed their trust in the Fadnavis-Shinde duo. For the first time, the king of Mumbai will be from the BJP. Now, the BJP alliance will hoist its flag in the central government, state government, and the BMC. The people of Mumbai have dealt a major blow to the Thackeray family this time.
Trends show the BJP alliance leading in 23 out of 29 municipal corporations. In Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) alliance is leading in 118 of 227 seats. The BJP alliance is also leading in Nagpur, Pune, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Nashik. Not only in Mumbai, but the BJP has made its mark in the Maharashtra municipal corporation elections and is heading towards major victories across major cities.
Counting of votes for the elections in 29 municipal corporations of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, has been underway since 10 AM, but the most attention is focused on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 52.94% of the vote was cast on Thursday for the 227 wards.

Raj Thackeray’s party is at zero in 22 cities
Elections were held for 165 seats in Pune, with trends available for 122 seats. Raj Thackeray’s party doesn’t appear to be winning any seats in Pune. Not only in the Pune Municipal Corporation, but also in Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar, Bhiwandi, Panvel, Nagpur, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Sambhaji Nagar, Kolhapur, Sangli-Miraj, Solapur, Malegaon, Jalgaon, Dhule, Ichalkaranji, Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna, Latur, Amravati, Akola, and Chandrapur, Raj Thackeray’s party is not expected to win any seats.
