Let me tell you that customers wishing to buy the new Tata Sierra can book it online or from a nearby dealership. A maximum token amount of ₹25,000 is placed for booking. Interestingly, Sierra recorded over 70,000 bookings within 24 hours of launch. This figure shows in itself how eagerly Indian customers were waiting for this SUV.

Price
Tata Sierra is available in a total of 7 trims. Smart Plus, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Adventure Plus, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus. Its initial price is ₹11.49 lakhs, which goes up to ₹21.29 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the top variants.
In this price range, Sierra faces popular SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Apart from this, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate and Maruti Suzuki Victoris are also present in this segment.
Diesel Engine
While many companies are making a distance from diesel today, the diesel version of Tata Sierra is being well liked among customers. According to dealers, more than 50% of buyers have chosen the diesel engine.

Engine Options
Talking about the engine, the new Tata Sierra has been introduced with three powertrain options. It gets a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine that gives power of 158bhp. The second option is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 105bhp. The third and most talked about option is the 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine, which gives a strength of 116bhp.
While a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox is found with the NA petrol engine, the turbo petrol and diesel variants have the option of torque converter automatic.

Tata Sierra EV
After petrol and diesel, it is now electric. According to sources, Tata Sierra EV will be launched between Q2 2026, ie April to June. Tata Motors will launch the Punch EV Facelift in February 2026.

The Sierra EV will be built on the Acti.ev platform, which is already used in Curvv EV. This electric SUV will give a direct bump to Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta Electric. It is expected to get two battery options of 55kWh and 65kWh and it can give a realistic range of around 450km once charged.
