Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme: A lot of women who are part of the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana are really upset because they still haven’t gotten their payments for November and December 2025. The KYC deadline for the Ladki Bahin Yojana was December 31, 2025, but even after finishing their KYC, many beneficiaries are still waiting for their payments for those months.
What are the actual issues facing these girl sisters?
Chanchal Yadav from Mumbai shares, “I completed the KYC for the Ladki Behen Yojana, but I still haven’t received my November and December payments. I’m trying to log into the Ladki Behen Yojana portal, but I can’t even get an OTP. What’s the hold-up with the money? I just don’t get it.”
Many Ladki sisters in the state have not received the scheme funds despite completing their KYC. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare stated, “We have transferred two installments to eligible Ladki sisters for November and December. The funds have been deposited into the accounts of eligible women before the municipal elections. The two-month funds were supposed to be deposited together. However, the Election Commission prohibited advance deposits, so the government has only distributed funds for the month of December.”
When will the January installment come?
Last year, during the assembly elections, two installments of the Ladki Behen Yojana were distributed simultaneously, drawing criticism from the opposition. This time, too, the funds for the months of November and December were to be distributed simultaneously. However, the opposition objected. The Congress party filed a complaint with the State Election Commission. According to this, the government has now only sent the regular installments for November and December. The January installment has not been sent. There is still no clarification from the government regarding when the January installment will arrive.
