Canada has announced its squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held in India and Sri Lanka. Canada has appointed 22-year-old Dilpreet Bajwa as its captain.

This will be Canada’s second T20 World Cup appearance. Canada first participated in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where they finished fourth in the group stage. However, Canada caught everyone’s attention in that tournament by defeating Ireland by 12 runs and earning a total of three points.

Canada qualified for this year’s World Cup by winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional Final. The team won all six matches played in the qualifiers, finishing at the top of the points table and securing a direct berth in the World Cup. Canada has been drawn in Group D alongside strong teams like South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the UAE. Canada will begin their campaign against South Africa in Ahmedabad on February 9, 2026.
