The Income Tax Department of India has made it mandatory to link PAN and Aadhaar cards. As a result, it goes without saying that the same rule will apply to the new PAN card (PAN 2.0).
According to the rules of the Income Tax Department, if you do not link Aadhaar with PAN card, then your PAN card will become inactive. If your PAN card becomes inactive, then you will not be able to file income tax, i.e. ITR. Even if you file it in any way, you will not get a tax refund. However, if you apply for a new PAN card, this PAN card will be linked with Aadhaar card at the time of application.

Is it Mandatory to Link Aadhaar Again After Getting PAN 2.0 Card?
You can also link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card through SMS on your mobile. For this, you have to write UIDPAN followed by your Aadhaar number and then your PAN number and send it to 567678 or 56161. The name, date of birth, gender, etc. on the PAN card must match the Aadhaar card, otherwise the link cannot be made. Both the documents must have the same information.

The central government has said that the biometric information of the Aadhaar card will have to be updated every 10 years. But with the arrival of PAN 2.0, there will be no need to update it. This new PAN card has a QR code, through which verification of PAN will be very convenient. Due to these features, financial fraud can be easily avoided.
