He suffered from food poisoning and missed the first three matches of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy for Mumbai. He is now fully fit and will play in the match against Goa on December 31st. Yashasvi celebrated his 24th birthday with his parents. The birthday celebration was held at the Rajasthan Royals (RR) High Performance Center in Nagpur. Yashasvi cut the cake and then touched his parents’ feet to seek their blessings. Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on December 28, 2001, in a small town in Uttar Pradesh.

At the time, no one could have predicted that this child would one day become a major name in Indian cricket. Yashasvi’s childhood was filled with difficulties. At just 10 years old, he left home and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream. There, he spent nights sleeping in a tent near Azad Maidan. To make ends meet, he sometimes worked in a dairy farm and sometimes sold pani puri. Renowned coach Jwala Singh recognized Yashasvi Jaiswal’s talent and took him under his wing.

In the 2020 Under-19 World Cup, he was the tournament’s top scorer and Player of the Tournament, although India lost the final. Jaiswal was given a chance by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL (Indian Premier League), and in the 2023 season, he created history by scoring the fastest half-century in just 13 balls. That same year, he also won the ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ award. Also in 2023, Yashasvi played a brilliant innings of 171 runs on his Test debut against the West Indies.

Yashasvi Jaiswal never looked back in this format, scoring runs in abundance. He was part of the Indian team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup. Today, at 24, Yashasvi is in excellent form. He has become a run machine in Test cricket and an explosive opener in the IPL.
