Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a century in the final match of the ODI series against South Africa, recently fell ill during domestic cricket. During a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match for Mumbai on December 16th, Jaiswal complained of a stomach strain and was hospitalized. He spent several days in the hospital, which is why he was given a break from the initial matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

But now Jaiswal is ready to show his batting prowess again. A report by Sportstar revealed that Jaiswal will join the Mumbai squad on the evening of Monday, December 29th. Although the team will play its third group stage match on Monday, Jaiswal will not be a part of it. He could return directly for the match against Goa on Wednesday, December 31st.
A Mumbai team official was quoted as saying that Jaiswal is now fully fit. Jaiswal can fill the shoes of veteran opener Rohit Sharma in the Mumbai team. Rohit was part of the first and second matches. He scored a century against Sikkim in the first match, while he failed to open his account in the second match against Uttarakhand.

The former Indian captain will no longer play in the upcoming matches. Jaiswal’s return will strengthen Mumbai.
