Passport New Update: The Indian government has once again warned citizens to be vigilant about fake passport websites. According to the government, some fraudulent websites are misleading people by claiming to be associated with passport services and are collecting their personal information. This information can later be used for fraudulent activities, spam calls, cyber fraud, and hacking. The government has identified six such websites that are misleading people in the name of passport-related services.

The government has clearly stated that all passport-related services are available only on the official website www.passportindia.gov.in. It is safe to use this portal for applying for a new passport, scheduling appointments, checking the status of your application, or any other passport-related service. Relying on any other website can be risky.

Be Cautious When Applying for a Passport

The website www.indiapassport.org looks genuine, but it is completely fake. The information provided on this site can be misused. Although this domain has been suspended, it is still advisable to remain vigilant.

www.online-passportindia.com is also a fake website that claims to offer various services, from passport applications to voter ID. This website has no connection with the government or the passport department.

The Passport Authority of India has also issued a warning regarding www.passport-india.in. Staying away from this website is considered the safest option.

There is no official government website named www.passport-seva.in. The government has clarified that any website operating under this name is fake and should not be used.

www.applypassport.org might seem trustworthy due to its name and the .org domain, but it is also a fake site. Sharing any personal information on this website can invite trouble.
