On Friday, a record-breaking match was played between Durban Super Giants and MI Cape Town. In this match, both the teams together scored 449 runs. During this match, a lucky fan became a millionaire.

Ryan Rickelton scored a brilliant century in this match, but his team had to face defeat by 15 runs.Batting first in this match, Durban Super Giants scored a record 232/5 – the highest total in SA20 history.Chasing this total, Rickelton scored 113 runs from 65 balls for MI Cape Town, hitting 11 sixes and five fours in his innings. One of these sixes made the fan a millionaire.The six, which he hit off the fourth ball of the 13th over of the innings, was caught with one hand by a spectator in the stands, earning the fan a 2 million rand (approximately Rs 1.08 crore) reward under SA20’s Fan-Catch initiative.

The match saw a lot of runs being scored, with a total of 449 runs, including 25 sixes and 40 fours.Rickelton scored 113 runs off 65 balls with the help of five fours and 11 sixes, but despite this, his team could only manage 217 for seven while chasing the target of 233. Apart from Rickelton, Jason Smith contributed 41 runs for MI Cape Town.
The Super Giants had earlier posted a record 232 for five. New Zealand opening pair Devon Conway (64 off 33 balls, seven fours, two sixes) and Kane Williamson (40 off 25 balls) dominated the powerplay, adding 96 runs in just 8.3 overs.

Jos Buttler (20 off 12 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (22 off 14 balls) then maintained the momentum. Aiden Markram made 35 off 17 balls and Evan Jones made an unbeaten 33 off 14 balls.
