Recently, South Africa handed Team India a 2-0 Test series defeat at home. Meanwhile, reports emerged that Gautam Gambhir’s job was in jeopardy because the BCCI had informally spoken to VVS Laxman. Devjit Saikia further stated that people can think whatever they want, but the BCCI has not made any decision regarding the coaching position. He stated that this is a fabricated story and there is no truth in it.

Saikia said, “I would like to say nothing more than that this news is completely false.”The Indian team’s Test performances under Gautam Gambhir haven’t been particularly impressive. However, in the white-ball format, India won the Champions Trophy and the Asia Cup this year.
