The second match will be played in Rajkot on January 14th, and the third in Indore on January 18th. This will be followed by a five-match T20I series between the two countries, for which the BCCI has already announced the squads, but the ODI squads are yet to be announced.
Shreyas Iyer is currently at the BCCI Center of Excellence, recovering quickly, and has even begun batting practice, but it’s unlikely he’ll return for the ODI series against New Zealand. The BCCI wouldn’t rush the vice-captain’s return, but if he’s fully fit, he could play in the series.
