In Delhi, schools are operating in a hybrid mode due to pollution, while winter vacations will start on January 1st. School holidays have been declared in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Winter Holidays in Uttar Pradesh
Due to the cold weather, school holidays have been declared in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. However, the Yogi government has cancelled the Christmas (December 25) holiday in schools.

When did Winter Vacation start in Punjab?
Winter vacations in Punjab schools started on December 22, 2025. The state government had issued an official notification announcing winter holidays for all government and private schools.

When will holidays start in Bihar?
School timings have been changed in Bihar, and schools are starting later. However, holidays have been declared in some districts. In many districts, schools will now reopen only after January 1st. Due to the cold wave, the Patna district administration has changed school timings. According to the new timetable, schools will now operate from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. A prayer assembly will be held from 9:30 AM to 10 AM, followed by eight periods, and a 40-minute mid-day break from 12 PM to 12:40 PM.

School Holidays in Rajasthan
Rajasthan is also experiencing a severe cold wave. The Rajasthan government has announced winter vacations for schools, with schools closed for about 12 days from December 25th to January 5th, 2026.

Will Schools in Haryana be Closed for 15 Days?

Students in Haryana schools may have to wait a little longer for their winter holidays. Winter vacations may be from January 1st to January 15th, 2026. Schools will remain closed for 15 days. However, all schools in the state will be closed on December 25th, 26th, and 27th. This is because December 25th is Christmas Day, December 26th is Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti, and December 27th is Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti.
