Indian Railways : Important news for railway travelers. From January 1, 2026, a new timetable will be implemented in 70 railway divisions, including 18 zones of Indian Railways. In light of this, the South Eastern Railway is making major changes to its passenger operations.According to information received from railway sources, the timetables of several major trains are being revised from January 1, 2026. As a result of this change, trains departing from and terminating at Chakradharpur Railway Division will experience a difference of 5 to 10 minutes to 1 hour.

The railways have clarified that this revised timetable is being implemented for operational convenience and technical reasons. Passengers can obtain detailed information about the new timetable by calling the railway’s enquiry number 139, the National Train Inquiry System (NTES) app, or the railways’ official website.Passengers travelling after January 1 have been advised to reach the station as per the updated schedule instead of the time mentioned on their tickets.

There will be a change in the timetable of these trains passing through Chakradharpur Railway Division:

Train No. 20891/20892 Tata Brahmapur Vande Bharat Express, Train No. 20872/20871 Rourkela Howrah Vande Bharat Express arrival and departure timings at Rourkela may vary by 85 minutes.

Departure timing of Train No. 20835/20836 Rourkela-Puri Vande Bharat Express from Rourkela may be changed.

There may be a change of 10 minutes in the arrival time of Train No. 21894 Patna Tata Vande Bharat Express at Tatanagar.At the same time, there will be a change of 5 to 10 minutes in the arrival and departure time of many express and passenger trains passing through Tatanagar, Chakradharpur and Rourkela.
