UAN Passbook: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) offers its members an online passbook facility. If you want to check your account balance, you can download your UAN passbook. You don’t need to travel anywhere; you can check it online from the comfort of your home. This means you no longer need to visit an office to obtain your UAN passbook.
However, you’ll only be able to check your UAN passbook if your account is active. If you’ve joined a new job, it may take some time for the new contributor to activate it. People whose PF accounts have been closed won’t be able to download their PF passbook online.
How to download passbook from EPFO portal?
To download UAN passbook, first visit the official portal of EPFO https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
You will now need to log in by entering your UAN and password. Remember, your UAN must be active for this to work. If it isn’t already, activate it first through the EPFO website.
Your screen will now display the IDs of all the employers you’ve worked for. Select the ID for which you want to download the passbook.
After this you will be able to download your EPF passbook in PF format.
How to download UAN passbook from Umang app?
First, you need to download the Umang app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Then, create an account and log in with your mobile number.
Now, type EPFO in the search bar of the Umang app and search. Then, go to Employee Centric Services.
Click on View Passbook option.
After this, type your UAN.
To complete the verification process, enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
After selecting your ID, your passbook will appear, which you can download as a PDF.
