Upcoming Hybrids of 2026 in India: India’s automobile market is changing rapidly. Amision Norms, which is tough every year, has forced car companies to think about what will be the way ahead of petrol and diesel. Fully electric cars are not yet an easy option for everyone, so hybrid powertrains have emerged as the most balanced solution.

2026 is going to be the year when a flood of hybrid cars is coming to India. Better mileage, less pollution and no charging tension is the reason why customers are also now leaning towards hybrids. If the plan to buy a new car is a bit ahead, then these hybrid SUVs are worth the wait.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to extend hybrid technology to common customers and the biggest example of this would be Fronx Hybrid. This SUV will come with a different type of series hybrid system. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is the only rebadged version of the Maruti Fronx, so its hybrid model will also come with the same series hybrid setup. The engine will be the same 1.2-liter petrol, which will play the role of a generator.
