Mercedes E-Class Electric
Mercedes-Benz has been working for a long time to strengthen its electric lineup. The electric version of the E-Class is the company’s next big step in this direction. Previously, the company’s EV strategy was based on the EQE and EQS cars built on the EVA II architecture. However, given the low sales of these models, the company has now shifted its focus to a new platform.

Furthermore, following mixed customer reactions to the unconventional aerodynamic design of the EQE and EQS, Mercedes has decided that the new E-Class EV will be built on a balanced design language and a practical platform to attract a wider range of customers.
Platform
Talking about the platform, Mercedes-Benz is now preparing its new E-Class EV on the MB.EA-M (Medium) platform. The first plan was that it would be built on the MB.EA-L (Large) platform, but now the company has decided to reduce the development time with this change so that the car can be launched in the market soon.
It also simply means that the facelifted EQE, which will be given 800V charging technology, will have a shorter market life. It is expected that EQE will be in sale for just 12 to 18 months, and will then replace the new E-Class Electric.
Style and range
The new E-Class Electric is expected to be around 5 meters in length, allowing it to directly compete with luxury electric sedans such as the BMW i5. The BMW i5 has a length of 5.06 meters, i.e. both vehicles will be approximately equal in size.

Mercedes tries not only to give this car a great design, but to equip it with a range and performance that proves to be excellent in luxury as well as real-use. It is estimated that this EV can give a range of around 600 to 700 km.

Competition
After the launch of the E-Class EV, it will directly compete with cars such as BMW i5, Audi A6 e-tron, Tesla Model S, and Porsche Macan EV. The focus of all these vehicles is on premium customers, so Mercedes will have to stay ahead in design, performance and technology all three.
