Sambal Yojana is important for workers in Madhya Pradesh. For workers who are working in unorganized sectors, this scheme is important for them. Now, a major update regarding the scheme has come. The state government is taking strict steps for the age verification process.
A major update has come to this scheme. The state government will no longer determine the age of workers through their Aadhaar card. Instead, some other documents will be valid in its place. The state government’s labor department has issued instructions in this regard.
According to information received from the Labor Department, age will no longer be calculated based on the Aadhaar card. This means that the date of birth recorded on the Aadhaar card will no longer be valid. Instead, if the worker has completed any education, the date of birth recorded in that educational document will be valid.
These documents can play vital role for age verification process
Instructions issued by the Labor Department state that to certify a worker’s age, the date of birth recorded in a certificate or mark sheet issued by the examining board or university will be valid. Furthermore, a school leaving certificate issued by the last school attended will be valid. Additionally, certificates from the Registrar of Births and Deaths, and certificates issued by the Gram Panchayat or Chief Municipal Officer will also be considered valid.
Additional Secretary of the Labor Department, Basant Kurre, stated that if these documents are not available, a certificate issued by a medical officer not below the rank of assistant surgeon in government service will be accepted. The directive also states that a final decision will be made on the merits only after examining these four documents or other age-related records available locally.
