Design

The new generation model gets the most changes in its front face (Front Fascia). Its grill is now in Mesh-Type design, which gives a more Bold look than before. A new design with Horizontal and Vertical Slats has been added at the bottom. Although Faux Skid Plate did not appear in this testing model, a metal bash plate (Metal Bash Plate) is definitely present below it which provides protection in off-road driving.

Also, its headlights look sharper than before, while their classic Boomerang Shape has been retained. The front part is now more flat and Upright than before, making its road presence (Road Presence) more powerful. The design of the Fog Lamp Housing also looks a bit different.

Technology

Although the new spy shots did not show the interior, the previously leaked design patent images have revealed some important updates. The new Hilux will feature an entirely new dashboard and center console. It will have a 12-inch Floating Touchscreen Infotainment System that will give more responsive and modern interfaces.

In addition, a new Digital TFT Instrument Cluster, Ventilated Front Seats, Power Tailgate, and Head-Up Display (HUD) are expected to be available. The design of the Steering Wheel will also be new and includes the feature of Electronic Parking Brake.

Performance

Also, the new Toyota Hilux 2026 will get the same 2.8-liter Diesel Engine as given in the current model. This engine generates tremendous torque of 204 PS Power and 420 Nm (Manual) / 500 Nm (Automatic).

The new Toyota Hilux 2026 global debut is expected in Thailand Motor Expo. It will then be launched in international markets such as Australia, South Africa, Europe and Latin America. Its launch in India may take place in 2027 or later.
