Important update for State Bank of India (SBI) customers. The popular bank has notified through its official social media platform that their UPI transaction can be interrupted for a while. For that reason, consumers should maintain some precaution.
When the service will be unavailable?
SBI said on Friday that some of its services will be temporarily unavailable after midnight of 11 October due to scheduled maintenance activities. As part of this process, SBI UPI services will not be available for one hour. If you are going out somewhere on the night of 11 October, then you may face inconvenience due to this. In such a situation, you should be prepared in advance.SBI services like SBI UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT and RTGS will be temporarily unavailable after midnight today.
SBI services will be down for online users between 1:10 AM and 2:10 AM on October 11. The bank has given this information in a post on X. SBI said in its post, ‘Due to scheduled maintenance activities, our services UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT and RTGS will be temporarily unavailable from 01:10 AM to 02:10 AM on 11.10.2025 (IST). These services will be restored after 02:10 AM.’
SBI customers who need to make online transactions during the downtime are advised to use ATM and UPI Lite services. UPI will be down during the downtime, but UPI Lite will remain functional. Customers can carry cash or use other bank accounts. “In the meantime, customers are requested to use our ATM and UPI Lite services. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your patience,” the bank said.
The bank has carried out these maintenance activities at a time when complaints of SBI UPI being down had come in a few days ago.

On October 8, many users had complained about SBI UPI being down. The bank had acknowledged this and had requested customers to use UPI Lite. SBI had said, “We are facing occasional technical issues in SBI UPI due to which some customers may face temporary inconvenience in UPI services. This will be resolved by 20:00 Hrs IST on 08.10.2025. Customers can use UPI Lite services for uninterrupted service. We regret the inconvenience caused to customers.”
