Design

The new Tata Sierra EV is being built on the company’s updated Acti.ev+ platform, an advanced version of the existing Acti.ev platform. This platform provides the Sierra with improved performance, range, and safety. Design-wise, the Sierra EV certainly reflects its predecessor, but incorporates ample modern elements. The full LED lighting setup at the front, a closed grille, a sleek design, and the SUV’s boxy shape have been retained.

Battery, Motor, and Performance

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to share the same powertrain as the Harrier EV, with options for 65kWh and 75kWh LFP battery packs. The base model will feature a front-wheel drive (FWD) system, while the top variant could feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup.

Size and Price Range

The new Tata Sierra EV will be approximately 4.3 meters long. Tata Motors has positioned it as a “lifestyle SUV,” meaning it’s not just a car but one designed for those who love both adventure and style. This SUV will compete with cars like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, and MG ZS EV in the Indian market. Its estimated price will be between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom).
