The Jeep Compass has always been a reliable and powerful name in India’s SUV segment. To further boost sales during the festive season, Jeep India has launched a new limited edition of the Compass, called the “Jeep Compass Track Edition.” With the launch of this new edition, the brand has further enhanced its SUV portfolio.

Launch Details

The Jeep Compass Track Edition has been launched at a starting price of ₹26.78 lakh (ex-showroom). This version is based on the company’s top-spec Model S trim. The recently implemented GST 2.0 reforms have reduced the price of the Compass by approximately ₹2.16 lakh, making it an even more value-for-money SUV in its segment. Jeep Compass sales have declined in the past few months, but with the launch of this new edition, the company hopes to revive buyer interest.

Exterior

Regarding its exterior design, the Jeep Compass Track Edition, true to its name, offers a “track-ready” look. It features a new signature hood decal, Track Edition emblem, and piano black detailing, giving it an even more aggressive and bold look. The wheel design has also been revised. This edition features 18-inch Tech Gray alloy wheels in a contrasting Spruce Beige color. Black accents on the front grille, badges, and moldings give it a premium and adventurous look.

Interior

The interior of the Jeep Compass Track Edition is as luxurious as its exterior. It features new Tupelo leatherette seat upholstery, making the seating experience even more comfortable. Cortina leather on the steering wheel, Dark Espresso Smoke chrome finish on the dashboard, and Spruce Beige stitching on the dual-tone interior give it a luxurious premium touch. Additionally, Track Edition-branded floor mats and piano black inserts further enhance its classy look.

Features

Based on the Model S trim, it boasts all the high-end features a luxury SUV should have. These include a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an Alpine music system, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats. It comes with over 50 standard safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and hill hold assist.

Engine and Performance

The Jeep Compass Track Edition is powered by the same powerful engine already found in the Compass lineup. It’s a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed torque converter automatic. This version is also available in 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains, making it ready for all types of roads and adventures.
