PAN (Permanent Account Number) is a 10-digit card and one of the most important identity documents in India. PAN is needed for many things like filing income tax returns, opening bank accounts, large financial transactions, and buying or selling property. PAN card is mandatory in many areas of life.

Sometimes, there are mistakes in the PAN card, such as in your name, date of birth, father’s/mother’s name, or address. Now, you can easily correct these mistakes through the official NSDL or UTIITSL website.

If you have a Minor PAN Card (for below 18 years), it does not have the child’s photo and signature. It only shows the guardian’s signature, PAN number, name, and date of birth. Using the PAN card correction process, you can add the child’s photo and signature after they turn 18.

To correct your PAN card, you only need your Aadhaar Card. If your Aadhaar card has the correct address and date of birth, you can update PAN without sending any documents. Normally, to create a PAN card, you need three documents – birth certificate, identity proof, and address proof. All these are already in your Aadhaar card, so you can update your PAN card easily using Aadhaar.
