PM Kisan Yojana 21st Installment: Good news for farmes. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) , which is being implemented for farmers across the country, has now brought significant relief to farmers in Jammu and Kashmir. The central government has released financial assistance of Rs 171 crore for eligible farmers in the state, which will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.
8.55 lakh farmers will get financial help
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Tuesday that approximately 8.55 lakh eligible farmers in the state are receiving approximately Rs 171 crore in assistance under the PM Kisan Yojana. This money is being transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts, eliminating the involvement of any middlemen.
LG Manoj Sinha’s office thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a post on the social media platform X. The post stated that the decision to release the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana in advance has brought great relief to the state’s farmers.
He said, “Today, around Rs 171 crore will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of about 8.55 lakh eligible farmers of Jammu and Kashmir . This much-needed financial assistance will help our farmers to sustain their livelihoods and work swiftly to restart agricultural activities.”
He further said, “Our farmers are the backbone of the economy and provide a strong foundation for growth in other sectors. The central government is committed to providing all possible assistance to mitigate the effects of the worst floods in decades and to bring stability to the lives of the affected people.”
Which farmers’ accounts received the money first?
On September 26th, the central government released the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana. This installment has currently been received by farmers in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. Recent heavy rains, floods, and landslides in these states destroyed crops. To help compensate for this loss, the government has sent approximately 2.7 million eligible farmers in these states 2,000 rupees each as relief. This amount was transferred directly to the farmers’ bank accounts.
Will farmers of other states get money before Diwali?
Now the question is, when will farmers in other states receive their installments? According to the scheme’s rules, one installment is issued every four months. If we consider this cycle, the 21st installment should be released around November. However, there are reports that the government is preparing to release this installment to other farmers before Diwali. While an official announcement has not yet been made, it is likely that the relief amount will reach farmers’ accounts before the festival.
