Commercial Gas Prices Rise During the Festive Season. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has increased by Rs 15.50. Now, the price of commercial gas cylinders used in hotels and restaurants is Rs 1,595.50. This new price is in effect in Delhi from today. The price of 14 kg cooking gas cylinders has not changed.
Before Puja, the price of commercial cooking gas had already increased. The festive season brings joy to food shops, restaurants, and catering businesses in Kolkata. After September 1, the price of commercial cylinders in many cities had come down by Rs 51.50. But after Durga Puja, the price increased again.
LPG Prices This Festive Season
The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has gone up in many cities. In Delhi, it rose from ₹1,580 to ₹1,595.50. In Kolkata, it went from ₹1,684 to ₹1,700.50. In Mumbai, the price increased from ₹1,531.50 to ₹1,547. In Chennai, it went up from ₹1,738 to ₹1,754.50.
The price of 14.2 kg cooking gas for home use has not changed. In Delhi, it is ₹853. In Kolkata, it is ₹879. In Mumbai, it is ₹852.50. In Chennai, it is ₹868. These prices have stayed the same since April 2025.
Earlier this year, commercial LPG prices were reduced four times. On September 1, the price of a 19 kg cylinder fell by ₹51.50. From April to July, the price went down by ₹138 in Delhi, ₹144 in Kolkata, ₹139 in Mumbai, and ₹141.50 in Chennai.
The increase in commercial LPG prices will affect small business owners like hotels and restaurants. Experts say LPG prices depend on world LPG and oil prices, the value of rupee, customs duty, packing cost, marketing cost, dealer commission, and port charges.
