The 25-year-old Abhishek surpassed the previous best rating of 919 points, which was achieved by England right-arm bowler Dawid Malan in 2020, the ICC said in a statement. Saim Ayub has dethroned Pandya for the first time to take the top spot in the all-rounders’ rankings. Ayub, despite his poor batting form, performed well with the ball, taking eight wickets. This achievement has propelled him four places higher, surpassing Pandya in the all-rounders’ rankings.

Pandya slipped to second place, eight rating points behind Ayub. Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz (up four places to 13th) and Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka (up three places to 30th) were the other players to make the all-rounder list this week.
