Today, Aadhaar is very important for everyone. You need Aadhaar for many things, like opening a bank account or getting government help. It is a 12-digit number from UIDAI. Aadhaar also proves your identity and address.

Children under five can get a special Aadhaar called Baal Aadhaar. It shows the child’s name, photo, birth date, and gender. It is linked to the parent’s Aadhaar. Children under five do not need fingerprints or eye scans.

Many papers, like passports, need Aadhaar. This is why getting Baal Aadhaar for your child is important. Here is how to get it easily.

What is Baal Aadhaar?

Baal Aadhaar is an Aadhaar card for children under 5 years old. Fingerprints and eye scans are not needed for children under 5. The card shows the child’s photo, name, birth date, and parent’s details.

Where and How to Get Baal Aadhaar

You can get Baal Aadhaar at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Many hospitals also give Aadhaar at birth, so the child’s birth certificate and Aadhaar can be made together.

  • Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ and then ‘Book an Appointment’.
  • Enter city and mobile number and check OTP.

  • Baal Aadhaar is free for children under 5. When the child turns 5, fingerprints and eye scans must be added. This update is free too.

Benefits of Baal Aadhaar

  2. Helps get government scheme benefits.
  3. Useful for school, scholarships, and health services.

When Child Turns 5

At age 5, the child’s fingerprints, eye scans, and photo must be added. If the card was made before 5, this update is needed. Another update is needed at 15. Between 5 and 15, details can be updated at an Aadhaar center for a small fee.
