8th Pay Commission, DA- If everything goes well, central government employees may get 2 big gifts before Diwali. It is being said that the wait for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission is about to end. There are also reports that the central government may announce a hike in DA before Diwali. Both these announcements are expected to be made in the month of October. If this happens, it will benefit about 1.2 crore central employees and retired employees.
How much can DA increase?
Currently, central government employees get 55 percent DA or dearness allowance. According to media reports, there is a possible increase of three percent for the second half of the year. Let us tell you that as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, the central government announces an increase in DA in two half-years of the year – January to June and July to December. Usually it is announced in February or March and September-October.
The wait for the 8th pay commission will end
Let us tell you that the central employees are waiting for the update of the 8th Pay Commission. The government announced it in January but no update has come till now. Now it is believed that a notification may be issued on the formation of the commission and other issues before Diwali in October.
Increasing pressure on the government
There is pressure on the government from all sides regarding the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission. Recently, major railway employee organizations have demanded the issuance of a notification regarding the formation of the Pay Commission. The All India Railway Employees Federation (AIRF) has warned that a nationwide demonstration will be held on September 19 demanding the formation of the Pay Commission.
