This service is going to be closed for only one and a half hours, i.e. 90 minutes. Information has also been shared as to why the service will be closed. HDFC Bank said that this ban will not be due to any fault but due to a system upgrade and necessary maintenance. According to the bank, with this technical improvement, customers are going to get a better and faster banking experience in the future.
Timing of UPI service closure
According to HDFC Bank, the UPI service is going to be closed on the night of 12 September due to maintenance. UPI service will be down from 12 pm to 1.30 am, due to which users will not be able to make any kind of payment. Meaning no transaction will be possible with UPI. The service is going to be completely closed for both account holders and businessmen.
UPI transactions related to a savings account will not be possible. Along with this, payments will not be made through the HDFC Bank mobile banking app and other third-party apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, etc. UPI payment can be made through HDFC Bank.
What will be the alternative?e
According to HDFC Bank, customers were advised that during this time, they can use their PayZapp wallet. You can easily make bill payments, send money online, and make offline purchases. The bank informed that the net banking service will not be affected during this time.
Customers will be able to easily take advantage of this service. Customers can do more than 200 types of transactions through net banking anytime and anywhere. Apart from this, transactions of up to Rs 10,000 per month can be done on account holders without KYC.
