Baal Aadhaar Card– Have you ever thought of updating your children’s Aadhaar card? If not, then pay attention to it now and take steps wisely. Children’s Aadhaar card has to be updated at the age of 5 years and 15 years.

This is necessary so that their biometric information (fingerprint, eye scanning and photo) is correct. This is very useful for future studies, admission and competitive exams. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), the organization that issues Aadhaar, has made it mandatory.

Why is it necessary to update at 5 years old?

Children below the age of 5 years get Aadhaar card without biometric information. In this, Aadhaar is generated only on the basis of parents’ information.

When the child turns 5 years old, it is necessary to update his Aadhaar. In this, the child’s fingerprint, eye scanning and photo are added. This is called Baal Aadhaar update and it is called Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU).

Why is it necessary to update at the age of 15?

As the child grows up, his body and biometric data (fingerprint and eye scanning) changes. Therefore, it is mandatory to update Aadhaar again at the age of 15. If this update is not done, then there may be problems in admission or competitive examinations in future.

Is there any fee charged?

Parents do not have to pay any fee to update their child’s Aadhaar card. Therefore, parents should not pay any kind of charge or fee to anyone to update their child’s Aadhaar card.
