et us tell you that on August 2, 2025, the government had released the 20th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi. During this, Rs 20,500 crore was transferred to more than 9.71 crore farmers. More than 75 lakh farmers benefited in Bihar alone. Now the eyes of the farmers are fixed on the 21st installment of PM Kisan.
Can you get the money for the 21st installment before Diwali?
If we look at the data of the last few years, the government has been sending money to the accounts of farmers between August and November. Sometimes the installment has come in August, sometimes in October and sometimes in November. In 2024, the 18th installment came on October 5, in 2023 on November 15 and in 2022 on October 17. This time Diwali is on October 20 and in November also the government can release the installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PMKSNY). However, the official date has not been revealed yet.
Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year. The Election Commission can announce the dates by the end of September. The government can send money to the farmers’ accounts even before the code of conduct is imposed. This is the reason why it is expected that farmers can get the next installment of Rs 2000 (PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Next Installment) in October itself.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers are given assistance of Rs 6000 every year. This money is sent directly to the farmers’ bank accounts in three installments of Rs 2000 each. The scheme was started in February 2019 and so far 20 installments have been released.
The money of these farmers may get stuck
If farmers do not get e-KYC done (PM Kisan e-KYC Update), do not link Aadhaar to bank account or do not complete land verification, then their money may get stuck. Therefore, it is important to complete all these tasks on time.

If you want to know whether your installment has arrived or not, then go to pmkisan.gov.in and click on Beneficiary Status in Farmers Corner and enter the Aadhaar number or registration number. Also, you can see the complete list of your village by going to the ‘Beneficiary List’ option.
