New Aadhaar Card: In today’s time, Aadhaar card has become the most important document of our identity. From opening a bank account to updating the mobile number, it is needed almost everywhere. But if the Aadhaar is lost or stolen, the tension increases. In such a situation, the biggest question is how to get Aadhaar again.
UIDAI made the download process easier
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made the process of re-downloading the Aadhaar card very easy. You can download e-Aadhaar in minutes by following a few steps from your home.
How to download e-Aadhaar?
First of all go to the official website of UIDAI https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. There you will see three options to download Aadhaar – by entering 12 digit Aadhaar number, by entering enrollment ID, by entering virtual ID.
Choose any of these options, then fill in your details and type the characters given in the image.
Now click on “Send OTP”.
This OTP will come on your registered mobile number.
You can easily download your Aadhar card after entering the OTP.
Aadhar card print will come at home, follow these steps:
If you need a hard copy of the Aadhaar card , UIDAI provides an easy way for this as well. You can get a printed copy of it delivered to your home.
For this, go to uidai.gov.in.
Click on “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID” in the “My Aadhaar” section.
Fill the required details (Aadhaar number, name, mobile number or email).
Now select “Send OTP” or “Send TOTP” and verify.
After this you will have to pay a fee of ₹ 50 online.
Once the payment is completed, your Aadhaar card will be delivered to your home via speed post within the next 15 days.
Earlier UIDAI only provided the facility to download e-Aadhaar, which you had to print yourself. But now you can get a printed Aadhaar card delivered to your address by paying ₹ 50.
