Oppo F31 series launch: Oppo has officially revealed the release date of its much-awaited F31 series 5G smartphones in India on September 15. As the next-in-line after the F29 series, the new series is under the brand name “Durable Champion,” highlighting its rugged build and design, and powerful design philosophy. While the announcement itself did not say much, the leaks that surfaced just a few hours later spilled the beans on almost every aspect of the F31, F31 Pro, and F31 Pro Plus.

Oppo F31: Budget Phone with Gargantuan Battery

The starting Oppo F31 5G is expected to carry a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Internally, it should feature a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. When it comes to cameras, the phone features a dual rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, while the 16MP front selfie and video call camera is handled by it. Its largest selling point, however, is the humongous 7,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging, offering long battery life along with rapid recharges.

Oppo F31 Pro: Performance Upgrade and Selfie Upgrade

The Oppo F31 Pro 5G is an upgrade of the base model with the same 6.57-inch AMOLED display. It employs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, which provides better efficiency and performance. The front camera experience is also better with a 32MP selfie camera since it presents an upper alternative for content creators and those who care about crispier front-facing photos. The battery setup remains the same at 7,000mAh with 80W fast charging, which ensures uninterrupted performance across the series.

Oppo F31 Pro Plus: Bigger Screen and Premium Hardware

For a premium feel, the Oppo F31 Pro Plus 5G is at the top of the line. It has a bigger 6.79-inch AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Storage also doubles to 256GB for users who need more space for applications, games, and media. Nothing is altered when it comes to the 7,000mAh battery and 80W rapid charging shared across the lineup, so longevity is a selling point for all of them.

Durability and Design Throughout the Lineup

What specifically sets the F31 series apart is Oppo’s focus on ruggedness. All three phones boast IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, so they are dustproof, waterproof, and even resistant to high-pressure sprays. Oppo also has a “360-degree Armor Body” build, which houses the phones without compromising an extremely thin profile. This high-end rugged balance could be the common feature of the F31 series.

Expected Pricing and Market Positioning

Oppo F31 is rumored to begin from ₹20,000 (~$225), while the F31 Pro is likely to be priced around ₹30,000 (~$340). The F31 Pro Plus, being the flagship model, should reach ₹35,000 (~$400). With high-end specs, massive batteries, and unbeatable durability, Oppo is all ready to turn the F31 series into one of the best competing sets in the mid-premium smartphone market in the current year.
