SSC CGL Exam 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) issued a notice stating that the Tier-1 phase of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025 will be conducted in Computer-Based Mode (CBE) from September 12 to September 26, 2025. This exam will be conducted in several shifts so that lakhs of candidates from all over the country can participate in it. At the same time, the Tier-2 exam is proposed to be conducted in December 2025.

Exam City Intimation Slip released

Keeping in mind the convenience of the candidates, the Commission has released the Exam City Intimation Slip. Candidates can download their slip by logging on to ssc.gov.in. In this slip, the candidates will get the information on which day and in which city their exam will be held. Based on this information, the candidates will be able to prepare for their travel and stay. Candidates will have to use their registration number and password for login.
Total Vacancies and Post Details
A total of 14,582 posts will be filled in Central Government Ministries, Departments, Organizations, and various Constitutional and Statutory bodies through the SSC CGL 2025 Recruitment Drive. These include Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts. The posts will be allotted on the basis of standards set by the Commission, the qualifications required for particular posts, and the preferences of the candidates.
Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a two-stage computer-based examination. Candidates successful in Tier-1 and Tier-2 will have to undergo document verification process. After the final result is declared, the documents will be scrutinized by the concerned departments.

Minimum Passing Criteria
The Commission has clarified that the candidates of the unreserved category must obtain a minimum of 30 percent marks. For the OBC and EWS categories, this limit is 25 percent, while candidates of all other categories will have to obtain a minimum of 20 percent marks. The eligibility of the candidates will be decided on this basis.
