New Delhi: In India, the rules for paying toll tax have completely changed in the last few years. Earlier, there used to be queues of vehicles to pay toll tax at toll plazas. People used to wait for hours to get their turn to pay toll, but now it is not so. For the last few years, toll tax has been deducted automatically from Fastag. Now the government has taken a step further, and the Annual FASTag has also been implemented across the country.

Paying toll tax has become even easier. Annual Fasstag will be valid only for one year. For this, people have to pay Rs 3000. Now the question arises that it is important to know on which highways of the country the Annual Fastag will work. You can know in detail below on which highways the Annual Fastag will work.

Where the Annual Fastag will not work.

Fastag Annual issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will not be able to work on all the highways of the country. Only a few selected highways have been marked for this pass. This includes some of the main expressways and highways of the country, including the Yamuna Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway of Uttar Pradesh, on which the annual FASTag will not work.

Maharashtra’s Samruddhi Mahamarg and Mumbai Pune Expressway also come in this list. Apart from this, this pass will not be valid on other highways, including Goa’s Atal Setu. All these highways are considered vehicles under the purview of NHAI. Annual passes are valid only for the National Highway Authority of India.

If the pass is not valid, how to pay he toll?

Many people will have a question in their mind that when the annual FASTag will not work on state highways, then how will they pay tolls? The answer to this is that the annual FASTag will be linked to your already existing FASTag account.

If it does not work at the toll plazas, money will be deducted from your FASTag account. If you are going on this journey on national and state highways, then there must be money in the account linked to the FASTag. On state highways, the money will be easily deducted from the Fastag, so you will not have to face any hassle.
