School Holiday List: Due to continuous rain in many states of the country, schools have been closed. All schools were closed on 3 September 2025 in many districts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. Children, especially, wait for the school holidays with great eagerness. There is an atmosphere of excitement among the children about the holiday. Schools, colleges, and educational institutions in Hyderabad and Secunderabad will remain closed on September 6, 2025, due to the Ganesh idol immersion procession.

Apart from this, all schools in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed this week. The school management has declared this holiday in view of a religious festival and a weekly holiday.

Holiday on Anant Chaturdashi

The festival of Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated with great pomp on Saturday, September 6, 2025. This day is considered very sacred in Hinduism and is also a significant occasion of Ganesh Visarjan. Due to this,a holiday has been declared in schools. School holiday on Sunday

Sunday, September 7, will be a weekly holiday. In this way, children will not have to attend school for two consecutive days. Students can plan to travel somewhere with their family during this holiday.

Schools closed in Punjab.

Due to heavy rains and floods, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has said that all schools and colleges will remain closed till September 7, 2025. If the situation improves, classes may start from September 8, 2025.

School holiday in Chandigarh

In Chandigarh, too, schools will remain closed until September 7, 2025, due to heavy rains and adverse weather conditions.

Schools closed in Himachal Pradesh.

Due to continuous rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, all government and private schools, including District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs), will remain closed until September 7, 2025.
